F.A.Q.s

Q: What’s “Kanook”? I’ve never heard of that hop before.

A: Kanook is Kansas grown Chinook hops. They are different enough from the PNW Chinook that they get their own nickname. Pineapple forward, minimal pine aromas. These are great dual-purpose hops.

Q: I’m buying this as a gift. Can you send it to the recipient for me?

A: Absolutely! There is a notes section during the checkout process. Let me know that it’s a gift and I’ll wrap it for you. Have a note you want to add? We’ll include that too!

Q: Can you include a note if I order this as a gift?

A: You betcha! Let us know what you’d like to say and we’ll include it with the hops when they go out.

Q: That seems like a lot to pay for hops!

A: Remember, these are four-ounce packs so at $9 per can, that’s only $2.25 per ounce.

Q: If I don’t use 4 oz of hops at a time, can I reseal the can?
A:
No, the cans won’t reseal. You can, however, let me know and I’ll tuck a resealable mylar bag in with your hops when they ship so you can keep their exposure to air at a minimum.

Q: Will you have these next month?

A: No, these are pre-sale only. The Kansas Hop Company is a small farm, and when they’ve sold out of their crop, they’re out for the year. Last year they sold through their entire crop by January.

Q: Hops from Kansas???
A:
Yes! These are great hops- in fact, the Kanook was one of the more popular hops from the Club shipments over the last year. Kansas Hops Company has had the bulk of their bines in the ground for several years and are considered “mature” hops.
