This Black IPA is as dark as midnight and features Michigan Copper Hops. If you haven't heard of Michigan Copper, you're not alone- it was only released from the breeding program at Great Lakes Hops a few years ago and is still gaining in acreage. Bold red fruit and pineapple aromas with a low beta acid content make this a great hop to showcase in an IPA. Paired here with Mangum for additional bittering, this is a rich IPA that looks like the darkest of stouts.
Can be ready in 3-4 weeks, but best after 6-8 weeks from brewing to allow for multiple rounds of dry hopping.
Base Malts: Maris Otter Pale.
Specialty Malts: Golden Naked Oats, Aroma Malt, Special B, Debittered Black Malt, Black Roasted Barley
Hops: Michigan Copper, Magnum.
Yeast: SafAle US-05 (American Ale, Dry).

- If you are going to brew this right away, and would like your grains milled, just let us know in the comment section when ordering.
- If giving this kit as a gift, we don't recomment milling as the grains may become stale if milled and unused for a period longer than 7-10 days.
